New Delhi, April 16, 2018: Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (a premier hospitality management institute affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and approved by AICTE) and Sattvik India Council (a trust registered in India under Trust Act 1882 in year 2017) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 12th day of April, 2018 at the Institute, in the presence of dignitaries from the establishment, faculty members and students.
The Institute and Council will be jointly engaged in providing training, skill development, consultation for development and delivery, innovations and marketing of process certification trainings etc. This will help in establishing an effective relationship in the larger interest of the sector and promote the cause of Food Quality Management through process certification in industries, industrial kitchens and Agriculture.
Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, Director, BCIHMCT enlightened the gathering with his vision for having incubation centre at the institute, to create Certified Food Auditors and open new verticals for budding hospitality professionals.
Mr. Abhishek Biswas, Founder, Sattvik India Council elucidated the core of Sattvik’s evolution and their engagement with society for developing an eco-system to curtail food adulteration, in order to ensure transparency of process.
The purpose of the collaboration is to uplift the Food Certification and Process Certification in MSME sector for Vegetarian Food, as per the guidelines of the Quality Management Manual (Vol.1), leading to skill enhancement of the Hotel Management students.
