New Delhi, November 23, 2017: Vikram Singh Chauhan is the General Manager of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, the first property of Westin Hotels & Resorts in East India. In his current role, Vikram manages the operations and is responsible for the profitability, guest experience and strategic initiatives for the hotel. He also works with the Westin global and regional brand teams at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the development and implementation of brand standards in operations and service.
With a career spanning 18 years, Vikram brings a wealth of experience in hotel operations Sales & Marketing and has worked across 6 countries. He has led the pre-opening teams of 7 hotels including the launch of Starwood’s Le Meridien brand in Bhutan and Bangladesh.
A graduate in Hotel Management, Vikram started his career as a Front Office Executive with The Oberoi Hotels and Resorts at their flagship properties- The Oberoi Udaivilas, Trident Udaipur and Trident Mumbai. He has also served as an Assistant Director of Rooms at Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Hyatt Corporation at Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai and as General Manager at Radisson Blu. Vikram also holds a specialised diploma in Revenue Management from IIM, Ahmedabad.
An astute hotelier, he has a keen eye for detail and sharp business sense. Entirely focused on maintaining high standards both for himself, his team and his hotels, he has a record of service excellence and his teams have outperformed in their respective markets.
Vikram is a keen sportsman and loves to play tennis. He also enjoys travelling and loves to spend time with his pet dog.
