Taiwan Expo 2025 in India: Taiwan–India Collaborations to Shape the Future of Growth

New Delhi, September 17, 2025: Bilateral trade between India and Taiwan has grown rapidly in recent years, expanding into sectors such as electronics, EVs, renewable energy, semiconductors, and healthcare. Taiwan’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, ICT, and green solutions align closely with India’s priorities under Digital India, Make in India, and the IndiaAI Mission, laying a strong foundation for deeper cooperation.

The flagship event for Taiwan–India economic and trade exchanges, Taiwan Expo 2025 in India will be held from September 25–27 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), Hall 1 in New Delhi, focusing on four themes—Smart Manufacturing, Smart Technology, Green Innovation, and Wellness Fiesta. A total of 107 Taiwanese companies will showcase innovative products and comprehensive solutions.

A pre-expo press conference was organized today (17th, India time), attended by representatives from Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), as well as other Taiwan–India trade and industry bodies. Supporting organizations including the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), and the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA) also sent representatives to attend the event.

Mr. Keven Cheng, Deputy Director of TAITRA, stated that amid tariff challenges and global supply chain realignments, India’s vast domestic market, abundant talent pool, and strategic location have made it an indispensable new manufacturing hub for Taiwanese enterprises. Since its launch in 2018, Taiwan Expo has been held for eight consecutive years, underscoring the foresight of government efforts to help enterprises diversify their markets. It has become a vital platform for Taiwanese companies to expand in India, with both sides already achieving results in areas such as semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, ICT, and smart machinery.

Ms. Yu-Chi Chen, Executive Director of the Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, noted that Taiwan–India bilateral trade reached a record high of USD 10.6 billion in 2024, demonstrating strong momentum in economic cooperation. Meanwhile, the number of Taiwanese enterprises investing in India has surged more than threefold compared to 2017, now exceeding 250 companies. This reflects the deepening integration of the Taiwan–India industrial value chain and growing commitment by Taiwanese businesses to the Indian market.

The press conference featured a preview of selected highlights. Advantech, a global leader in industrial computers, will present its industrial PCs; Zyxel will showcase its security routers and access point solutions; Proscend Communications Inc., a leader in Industrial IoT connectivity, will highlight its industrial routers and switches; and IPEVO, a top visual solutions brand, will display its versatile video collaboration devices. Meanwhile, TAISYS Technologies, a global leader in thin SIM card solutions, will unveil its newly developed drone, highlighting Taiwan’s innovation and cross-domain integration capabilities.
