New Delhi, July 02, 2022: Meter Bar, the world’s first ‘drink by the meter’ concept bar & restaurant is all set to launch on 29th June at Vega City Mall, Bannerghatta Road, and will be open to the public on 30th June from 7PM. The brand envisioned bringing together aspects of technology and time and creating something that’s never been done before.

The concept of Meter Bar is simple yet intriguing, customers are billed based on the time they spend to have a drink, once an order is placed & served, an individual meter will start keeping track of the time. The meter can be paused when a drink is repeated. The meter starts with a base price for each drink which stays constant for a select time period and then increases by a certain amount after set intervals. Different drinks have different meter rates based on the drink’s MRP. This is definitely the first of its kind & a game changer.

The brand introduces three individual menus, the Meter Bar Beverage Menu consisting of an array of shooters along with 6 beers on tap; the Meter Menu, a menu that the meter is based on, it consists of classic cocktails like the Manhattan, the flavourful Peach Bellini and their signature Margarita to name a few. The menu also comprises some elegant spirits that are a must try. And, last but not the least, the Food Menu that includes a widespread variety of dishes from around the world that are served and presented in a quirky style.

Meter Bar boasts a global fusion cuisine that includes a variety of signature dishes from Indian, Mexican and Pan-Asian fares. They serve a host of vegan options as well for all the plant-based food enthusiasts. Indulge in their wholesome moong-dal shorba or grab a monster size chow with their quesadilla and taco options. There are also scrumptious pizzas to choose from for the ‘za lover in you.

On the launch of Meter Bar in Bangalore, Mr. Anupam Sehgal, Partner, ThinkTanc says, “We wanted to create a unique experience and concept for our customers and that is how the idea of Meter Bar came about. We wanted to stand out and be able to pioneer the merging of dining and technology. Meter Bar’s concept is simple, you pay by the meter, it’s the technology that goes behind it that will intrigue our customers. With everything available at the click of a button, we were fascinated by the thought of digitizing the dining experience without taking away the fun of coming to the venue physically. It is a fun marriage; or coming together rather, of the delicate fabric of time and the intricacies of technology with the indulgence of diving into your favorite cuisines and beverages.”

Additionally  Mr. Shylendra Kumar, Director, Aventhi Hospitality LLP says, “Our dream was to create a space that was fun, quirky and unique in south Bangalore, we felt that this area was left untapped when it came to restaurants. Meter Bar is an adventure sport of sorts especially when the cheque is being rung up to see how long you stayed and how much your time is worth. We hope this will be as fun for our customers, living in this side of town, to experience as it was for us to conceptualize this for them.”
