Tour manager Justin Scholl, together with Kyle Timson and Christian Marriner, who play Shrek and Lord Farquaad respectively, were special guests at the media event. Guests attending the event were treated to an exclusive performance by Shrek (Kyle Timson) who sang “Big Bright Beautiful World”, while Lord Farquaad (Christian Marriner) performed the “Ballad of Farquaad” at the event.
SHREK THE MUSICAL is based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks Animation film that started it all. This live adaptation brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to the stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey that does not keep quiet, a villain with a short temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand and his name is Shrek.
“We are so excited to bring this musical to Macao, as part of our entertainment strategy to bring international shows to the region. It reaffirms our commitment to offer entertainment for all ages and this show will appeal to both adults and children alike,” said Dave Horton, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Las Vegas Sands Corp. & Sands China Ltd. “It also complements our existing long-term partnership with DreamWorks at Sands Cotai Central where guests can enjoy a Shrekfast character breakfast and watch the DreamWorks characters in the All-Star parade; and now Shrek The Musical offers the complete Shrek experience.”
