Bringing more than 12 years of experience across India and the Middle East, Bala joins the hotel with a strong track record of driving revenue growth, enhancing market competitiveness, and delivering data-driven commercial strategies across leading hospitality brands.
In his new role, Bala will spearhead the hotel’s revenue management function, driving strategic pricing, distribution, and demand-generation initiatives to maximize performance and profitability. His appointment underscores Park Hyatt Chennai’s continued commitment to strengthening its market leadership through innovative commercial strategies and revenue excellence.
Bala joins the hotel from his most recent role as Cluster Director of Revenue, where he successfully led revenue optimization strategies for Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, Hyatt Raipur, and Hyatt Place Hampi, delivering sustained growth across diverse market segments. Prior to this, he was part of the Hilton Revenue Management Consolidated Center (RMCC) as Cluster Revenue Manager. His international experience includes tenures at Radisson Dubai and Dusit Thani, further broadening his global perspective on revenue management and commercial performance.

Bala’s career foundation is rooted in strong operational and corporate experience. He began his journey in revenue management at ITC Rajputana as Assistant Revenue Manager, followed by a role at Hyatt Pune, where he developed his core capabilities in revenue strategy. He later served as Portfolio Revenue Manager at the IHG Corporate Office, Southwest Asia, contributing to portfolio-wide revenue planning, analytics, and strategic alignment. His property-level leadership experience also includes senior roles at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh and Crowne Plaza Bengaluru, where he played a pivotal role in driving hotel performance and revenue growth.
Academically, Bala holds an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources from Amity Business School.
