India, August 10, 2022: Masters of Marriott Bonvoy and Culinary Culture come together once again to present and celebrate culinary excellence in the world of food and beverage. The collaboration brings the globally famed Sühring, founded by celebrated German identical twin Chefs Thomas and Mathias Sühring to Bengaluru, India for the first time. Their restaurant Sühring, which doubles up as the chefs home in Bangkok holds two Michelin stars and is currently ranked No. 7 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant list regularly featuring on lists of the world’s best restaurants. After a very successful event with the legendary Chef Massimo Bottura from Osteria Francescana in April, the event with Sühring would mark the second instalment of Masters of Marriott Bonvoy for the year. 

Their visit commenced with a special culinary meet on 4th August, where Masters of Marriott Bonvoy and Culinary Culture played host to leading chefs and literary food enthusiasts of the city. In conversation with Vir Sanghvi, India’s top food authority, the Chefs touched upon their journey of elevating their family recipes to the level of haute cuisine and changing perception about German cuisine globally. While in India, the Chefs will be cooking gastronomic dishes inspired by their home country at two exclusively hosted dinners at the Ritz Carlton Bangalore over the 5th and 6th of August.

The event had the city’s top chefs and food connoisseurs engaged and enthralled for the entire 45 minutes’ session. The audience included the likes of Shubra Aiyappa, Anitha Kholay, Divya Prabharkar, Vishal Shetty, Chetan Kamani and other top names in the F&B industry.

This special event was a prelude to the two exclusive dinners that are to follow on the 5th and 6th of August where Chefs’Thomas and Mathias Sühring will recreate their culinary masterpieces inspired by their childhood memories and treasured family recipes. The thirteen-course degustation menu reflects the chefs’ philosophy of quality, seasonality and simplicity. While this exclusive menu is under wraps for now, one can expect Sühring favourites like –Rainbow Trout smoked with ApplewoodSpätzle – soft noodles with Black Truffles10-day aged Duck with hazelnut and Curry 36 (an ode to Berlin’s famous street-food Currywurst) to top off this once in a lifetime culinary experience.
