What were the key highlights for you in 2016?
Year 2016 has been an important year for ITDC as it completed a glorious and satisfying journey of 50 years (Golden Jubilee) on 1st of October 2016 and this gives a great sense of satisfaction and pride to all of us. ITDC has posted a strong performance for the financial year 2015-16. The Corporation not only recorded a turnover of Rs.465.69 cr but also posted a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs.32.42 cr whereas, Profit After Tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs.22.55 cr. This was in continuation to ITDC’s profit making journey where the organisation posted profit for the fourth consecutive year.
The Ashok Events Division managing events, conferences and exhibitions both within the country and abroad has established itself as a leader in Professional Conferences and VIP Event Management. Reflecting this position, the Division handled more than 200 events during 2015-16.
ITDC Group has recently won many awards and accolades. Chefs of The Ashok Group participated in Indian Food Festivals across the globe in 12 countries, including at Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Singapore, Malaysia, Ecuador, Japan, Palestine, Mexico, Lebanon, Madagascar, Egypt, Italy and The Netherlands, earning multiple accolades across regions.
What are your expectations from the year 2017?
With all the upliftment and changes in 2016, we at ITDC are only looking to enhance the experience of our guests while also making sure that the property becomes a destination pick for everyone coming into Delhi. We are very happy with how the hotel has done in terms of business and look forward to a better new year.
