New Delhi, September 09, 2016: In pursuit for quality, BCIHMCT has taken a lead and voluntarily invited NAAC for seeking accreditation based on the seven criteria established by NAAC and they are fully confident of getting this reaccreditation for the second time in a row which will go a long way to impart quality education in Hotel Management and Catering Technology to its students not only meeting National Standards but meet Global Challenges also in the field of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. BCIHMCT got NAAC accreditation in 2010. The Institute will feel proud to be accredited again and is all geared up to receive the visiting team.
BCIHMCT is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and approved by AICTE and DTE, Delhi. While perusing its endeavour to impart quality education in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, it has taken a step forward and has invited the team from NAAC to visit the institute and grant Accreditation to it as per its establish norms.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an accreditor and an autonomous body funded by University Grants Commission of Government of India having its base in Bangalore. As recommended by National Policy of Education (POE) and the Programme of Action (POA), the institutions are required to seek ‘Institutional Eligibility for Quality Assessment (IEQA)’. With this objective in mind, BCIHMCT has volunteered for getting Assessment and Accreditation by NAAC. To grant this, a peer team comprising of eminent experts will be visiting the Institution from 15-17 September, 2016 to acquaint themselves with the assurance. The whole process is to validate the submitted Self Study Report and help the institution in quality assurance.
The Peer Team will visit the Institute to understand the collective impact of the Faculty and the Institutional Ambience, along with the educational experience and outcome of the students.
