Macao , November 26, 2015 : The Venetian® Macao has been voted as both Macau’s Leading Casino Resort and Macau’s Leading Resort in the Asia region at the 22nd Annual World Travel Awards that were held recently in Hong Kong. The accolades reflect The Venetian Macao’s dedication to service excellence and highlight the integrated resort’s success in the industry. This is the seventh year that The Venetian Macao has received awards from the World Travel Awards.

The World Travel Awards (WTA) were established in 1993 to seek out and reward the very best travel organizations in the world. It has now developed into the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in travel and tourism and is recognized worldwide as the hallmark of industry excellence. The winners were chosen according to the following seven criteria: customer satisfaction and quality of service, overall business performance, product innovation, staff relations and development, corporate social responsibility and contribution to the local community, commitment to sustainable policies, and fulfilment of long-term corporate vision. Votes are cast by professionals working in the travel and tourism industries, senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators and travel agents. Since 2009, voting has also been open to the public to reflect the growing role that the awards play in influencing how people make their travel purchasing decisions. The voting works on a first-past-the-post system and votes are submitted on the World Travel Awards website.
