The ecotel hotel is now hosting the ‘Chettinad Food Festival’ from May 7th to May 23rd, 2021. The takeaway menu comprises lip-smacking preparations of veg and non-veg meals with diverse flavours from the Chettinad region.

The festival will bring out the best gastronomy delights and tradition of the Chettiars, a merchant community hailing from two southern districts of Tamil Nadu. The Grand Chettinad Sadhya laboriously crafted under the master Chef includes an extensive spread of Veg and Non-Veg delicacies. Chettinad cuisine is known for the complexity in flavours is characterized by the distinct aroma of freshly grounded spices namely red chilies, black pepper, clove, cinnamon, turmeric, and cardamom.

The menu includes Meen Varuval, Paruppu Vadai (Dal Vada), Urulai Roast (Spicy Baby Potato), Ennaikathirikai (Brinjal Chettinad), Kai Kari Kurma (Manglorian Vegetable Rich Curry), Thenkai Kozhi Melagu Sukka (Peppery Chicken), Muttai Roast (Egg Roast Kerala style), Vendakkai Moru Kozhambu (Spicy Tangy Ladyfinger), Paruppu Kadiyal (Dal), Nei Choru (Ghee Rice), Kal Dosa, Vengaya Pachadi (Onion Raita), Jaangiri (Imarti), Coconut water, banana leaf etc.
