New Delhi, March 03, 2022: To mark the city’s 611 birth anniversary, The Leela Gandhinagar hosted prominent royals and descendants of Baba Manek Nath, the founding Guru of Ahmedabad city.

Punjabapu Wala of Mandavgarh, Mrs Fatima Shaikh of Mangrol, Maharaj Bhagirath Singhji and Rani Saheba of Idar, Yadvendrasinhji Jadeja and Krishna Kumari Ji of Gondal, and Indrajit Singh and Mrs Sonal Mahurkar Ji attended this intimate and bespoke evening.

Amongst the other distinguished guests, were the descendants of Baba Manek Nath, under whose spiritual guidance the foundation stone of Ahmedabad was laid in the year 1411. These included Subodh Nath, Abhishek Nath and Chandan Nath, the 13th Mahant of Manek Nathji’s Gaadi.

The esteemed guests were treated to a delicately crafted culinary repertoire with a medley of flavours ranging from kebabs and curries to celebrated local delicacies made with authentic handpicked ingredients representative of a distinctive culinary trail from ancient to modern India. Created by Master Chef Mohammad Javed, the guests were also served delectable treats from the Northwest Frontier cuisine.
