The iconic brand was established in 1972 by Mr. JK Kapur, with the flagship outlet in Worli which was inaugurated by legendary Bollywood actor Mr. Dilip Kumar himself. Copper Chimney has built a worldwide fan following and is most loved for its unique flavours and signature dishes of the brand. Exceptional hospitality, fresh made-to-order cooking, secret spice recipes and the use of its proprietary culinary techniques are at the heart of the Copper Chimney brand. Using an array of handpicked spices sourced from select farms across India, Copper Chimney’s secret spice recipes, which have been passed down three generations, infuse the brand’s signature flavors into their dishes.
Copper Chimney introduces a complete new look to the flagship outlet and a new menu featuring many of the original dishes from its first menu in 1972. From the original 1972 menu, you will find signature dishes making a comeback after many years, the Kabuli Naan, Mushroom Kheema, Bagani Bahar, Fish Begum Bahar, amongst others will now be available only at the flagship Worli restaurant.
In addition to the slow cooked Dals, the expertly spiced, freshly cooked curries are a specialty at Copper Chimney; right from the signature Paneer Masala and Benaras Malai Kofta, to the 21-spice blend Rogan Josh, and Murg Makhani.
Masters in the art of the tandoor, all Tandoor Grills are marinated for over eight hours, and tandoors are lit at first light each morning, making the Smoked White Pepper Chicken Chops and the Burrah Chop, cooked at 900 degrees Fahrenheit, a favorite dishes of all non-vegetarian lovers. The melt-in-your- mouth Paneer Tikka and Achari Mushroom are a must-try for all vegetarians.
Copper Chimney’s handmade breads are cooked in the restaurant’s tandoor ovens, and you cannot miss the paper-thin Roomali, which is available in a whole wheat option as well, or as the signature Kadak Roomali, topped with a choice of secret spices, seasonings or cheese. One can also, try the fresh handmade tandoori rotis, which will also be available in a multi-grain option.
The drinks menu will feature signature cocktails like Achari Whisky with a drop of spicy mango pickle, Khatta Panna, a crushed mango based cocktail, street coolers such as Delhi Shikanji, Kala Khatta Jaljeera, Masala Cola and many more. There will be a vivid range of special Chai Sherbets like Lemon Chai Sherbet, Strawberry Chai Sherbet, Peach Chai Sherbet and Indian Chai such as Punjabi Karak Chai and Chandni Chowk ki Chai that is powered with a punch of Indian herbs and spices curated by Copper Chimney.
To celebrate Copper Chimney’s legacy from 1972, Copper Chimney Worli will be offering the first 72 walk-ins each day a discount of 72% off on their entire dine-in bill, from 9th to 13th October.
Outside the restaurants, Copper Chimney, as a brand and restaurant group, has been leading initiatives towards a goal of “Food and Nutrition for All”, and has been working closely with Action Against Hunger to find ways to fight hunger and malnutrition. Copper Chimney parent company’s foundation through the efforts of its Chairman, Sunil Kapur, has sponsored numerous villages in India to support 1000-day interventions for children suffering from malnutrition, and proudly worked with NGOs such as the Robin Hood Army to serve over 6 million meals across 800 villages this August 2019.
