New Delhi, July 05, 2020: We welcome this decision but why only allow hotels to reopen at 33% capacity? Our Mumbai hotels have in any case been open for self-quarantine guests for a while, and this move will now allow them to take in other corporate guests as well.

More promising is of course for our Lonavala and Dapoli resorts being able to reopen. We have just launched weekend self-drive leisure holiday packages there and look forward to welcoming holiday guests.

This reopening decision by the govt will also allow our hotels in Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Karad, Satara & Parbhani to reopen as local demand warrants, and also allow us to launch our new rebranded Beacon Hotel in Kharadi, Pune that got delayed due to the lockdown.

As a next step, we hope the govt will soon remove this cap of 33% capacity and allow hotels in the state to meet the growing demand.

The Fern Hotels & Resorts has a big presence in Maharashtra with 17 operational properties in the state. Out of which 6 are in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and rest in other parts of the state.
