Bengaluru, June 01, 2017: In line with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ global community projects, Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru yesterday hosted an evening dedicated to create awareness about World MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Day. Every year, on 31st May the global community unites to create awareness about the condition.

World MS Day celebrates global solidarity and extends hope for the future. This year’s campaign encouraged people to come together, share stories, create awareness and campaign with and for everyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

“We are very happy to have been able to support this noble cause. On display were some photographs and paintings created by people affected by MS. All proceeds from their sale were in aid of MSSI Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (NGO), established in 1985 that continues to provide care, support and variety of services to people suffering from MS. A panel of medical experts and those affected by MS addressed the gathering and shared their experiences about the disability which has helped us too spread awareness about this condition” said a visibly proud general manager, Andreas Streiber.

The event was graced by Kannada actor Srinath who was the chief guest for the evening and guest of honour Mr. Anand Sharan, Director of Anand Sharan Photo Workshop. The event also featured a special act by a Bangalore based three piece band called Theory followed by a stand-up comedy act.
