Helmed by Chef Vikas Seth, the Mexican restaurant will showcase the best of Mexican and Tex Mex Cuisine for its first ever, two-day pop up at the Capital
India, July 27, 2022: Serving some serious Mexican vibes, Kakapo, Delhi is set to play host to Bangalore’s Sanchez, which is an eclectic Mexican restaurant in the heart of Bangalore City, that brings you a scrumptious slice of Mexican heritage & cuisine in all its unique flavours, texture and aromas, with delicacies that have never made it past the Mexican borders. Chef Vikas Seth, Culinary Director, Embassy Leisure and Chef at Sanchez will be bringing his expertise to Kakapo, presenting a personalised menu of vibrant delicacies curated especially for this two-day pop up.
Slated for the 29th & 30th of July, the menu will be available from 7:30 pm onwards.
The menu, designed by Chef Seth who has mastered Mexican cuisine over years with culinary expeditions to Mexico, has a line-up of the most popular dishes from Sanchez Bangalore and some very authentic Mexican recipes. Armed with Mexican flavours and inspired by recipes from renowned local Chefs, the dishes are testimony to his intricate knowledge as well as his unique, signature flair.
Start with the iconic Guacamole which is as delicious as it looks. High in protein, rich in taste and creamy in texture, the Guacamole served alongside roasted tomato salsa, with blue and yellow corn tortilla chips is set to nourish your soul. Speaking of soulful, Oaxacan Artisan Queso Fresco has a Mexican style homemade cheese that melts in your mouth, served with smokey chipotle jam and toasted torta bread. Showcasing a traditional side to the menu, the Morita Chicken Tamale is served in its contemporary fashion cocooned in a corn husk. The spiced sauce, rice and refried beans accompanying the tamale, tops it off like a chef’s kiss. Adding an innovative twist, Quesabirria – Red Tacos, is a fusion of a Taco and Quesadilla. A corn tortilla with Birria-style cooked goat meat, melted cheese and served with guajillo consommé will leave you speechless. Another popular delicacy on this menu are the Garnachas, which are small crispy tortillas topped with a choice of chocolate or green mole. For dessert, Sanchez will be bringing in Dark Chocolate Guacamole, Toasted Pepitas, a mesmeric creation of cinnamon, sugar dusted nachos and the infamous Tres Leches, the best available on this side of the Mexican shore.
