Renaissance Lucknow Hotel, is hosting a special Rajasthani Food Festival next week. The festival is being specially curated by Chef Mohammad Anwar, a well-known chef from Rajasthan who is on a visit to Renaissance Lucknow Hotel.
The Rajasthani festival to begin on May 19, is set to bring to you exquisite flavors from the sand dunes of the Thar, as also the soul stirring music of the desert state.
Rajasthani cuisine is a wonderful mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, whose preparations are markedly different from all north-Indian cuisines. The food carries a clear imprint of the state’s climate, its vegetation and the centuries old traditional lifestyles of the state’s inhabitants.

The Food Festival will bring some of the most loved and authentic Rajasthani dishes for the food lovers of Lucknow.
From the mouth watering meat dishes like Laal maans, Safed maas, Khadkhargosh and Jungli maasto highly satisfying vegetarian dishes like Ker Sangari, Daal Baati Choorma, and Gatte Ki sabzi, the food festival will offer a variety of delectable dishes from the western state, which are sure to enrich your gastronomic experience.

The dishes on offer at the food festival will include starters such as Murgh Banjaara tikka, Charkha murg, Mans ke sule, and Shekhawati dal ki pakodi; followed by sumptuous main course dishes such as Laal maas, machhiramgadi, gawar phalli ki subzi, gatta curry, papdi mangodi ka saag, Bater pulao, and kabuli pulao.
Special breads on offer include bajara ki roti, bejad roti, bikaneri parantha, while the enticing dal batti churma will be the main attraction.
The food will be appropriately backed by live folk music from the state to create the aura of the traditional aura of the region.
