Lucknow, April 21, 2017: Lucknow’s sweet obsession is being taken to new heights: a full-blown festival of doughnuts at the Renaissance Hotel Lucknow. Beginning April 14, Lucknowites will be spoilt for choice when it comes to doughnuts –basic salty, velvet crème, glazed chocolate, chocolate and berry-filled, – you name it, they have it. The organizers –the hotel’s C&C bakery — have made sure you give into your sweet tooth and indulge yourself thoroughly with this sweet delicacy. For the next two weeks sugar fiends will be able to gorge themselves on freshly made doughnuts at C&C which enjoys a reputation for the best confectionery in town.
Till not so long ago, we Indians were strangers to doughnuts. Today, it has caught on like wild fire. Not just kids and youngsters, even adults savor this sweet delight and it has become a part of their sweet craving like rabri or kulfi.
“It’s keeping this in mind that we at Renaissance decided to host this festival for our patrons. From April 14th, 2017, our in-house bakery will exhibit our love for doughnuts for two weeks. There will be doughnuts, Berliners, coffee and more doughnuts. The inspiration for the doughnut festival came from our in-house love for doughnuts. C&C has the best doughnuts in town. The team also wanted to indulge Lucknow’s’ growing sweet tooth and doughnuts are Lucknowites’ latest sweet obsession,” says Jitendra Upadhyay, Pastry Chef, Renaissance Lucknow Hotel.

The hotel has invited school students for a visit to the C&C kitchen where they will see how doughnuts are made. The chef will give them a live tutorial and even allow them to try their hand at making doughnuts with their favorite fillings and toppings.
