New Delhi, June 10, 2016: Marriott India has appointed Mr Anand Ganesan, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience across three continents and multiple brands, as General Manager. He will lead operations at Renaissance, Lucknow and Fairfield by Marriott, Lucknow. The appointment comes as Marriott Group reshuffles its leadership team to infuse a fresh vigor and energy into the operations of the group’s two leading hotels in the city.
Mr Ganesan’s core strength is in preopening and in establishing the brand and the values it stands for. His ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, be it with the civic and government agencies, or community leaders and influencers, has been of benefit to the organizations he has worked with. His focus on an effective, timely response ensures customer satisfaction. Within the group, his emphasis on integration and synergies, has often resulted in best-practice sharing and the most efficient resource-management.
In his new role as Multi-Property General Manager, he will be responsible for overseeing both hotels’ operations, leading and motivating his team of department heads, offering a fresh perspective to employees and maximizing revenue generation.
Before joining his new assignment, Mr Ganesan was associated with the Accor Group of Hotels for almost a decade during which he worked with different properties of the group, including Lavasa Novotel; Lavasa International Convention Centre; Mercure Lavasa; Novotel Hyderabad & Hyderabad International Convention Centre; Mercure Hyderabad, among others.

Mr Ganesan holds a Diploma in Hotel Management as well as a Diploma in Hotel Operations from Switzerland.
Having worked in the industry in different roles and positions over the years, Anand’s expertise is wide and exhaustive, ranging from sales and marketing operations, business development, food & beverages management, handling public relations as well as managing financial operations. He speaks English, French, Hindi and Tamil.
