New Delhi, January 21, 2017: We are back with a fresh new catch at South of Vindhyas, The Orchid. It’s an annual festival at South of Vindhyas where we organize a distinctive Sea Food Festival, with diverse flavors and delicacies from the South of India. One can enjoy fishing expedition from more than 30 types of fishes that are displayed & is cooked as per your taste – be it grilled, fried or in your favorite curry. The festival offers tasteful sampling of the regions delectable delicacies like Indian salmon, Kingfish, Currymeen, Squids, Clams and Crabs. The food will be cooked in various styles of Coastal India states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Traditional decorations like rangoli and “Samay”, a lamp common during auspicious ceremonies in south adorned the entrance.
Master Chef Bala has specially prepared an authentic menu that includes Raal Perattal (Prawns simmered in pepper gravy, a Chettinad specialty), Eral Pandy (A Pondicherry specialty of fresh prawns), Alleppey Meen Curry (A classical preparation of king fish from Allepey), Meen Ghassi (Pomfret darnes cooked in thick gravy of coconut and Manglorean spices), Chapala Kura (A Kingfish specialty from Andhra), Malwani Fish Curry (A traditional Kingfish curry from Malvan known for its red hot gravy), Talela Surmai (A delicacy from Maharashtra, Kingfish in red hot spices and deep fried), Bangude Puli Munchi(Tangi macrel curry from Mangalore) and many more.
