Karthi VK has been promoted as a Director of Operations for Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park. In his new role, Karthi will continue to support day-to-day Operations, Management and Relationship Management.  He would also indulge in understanding business requirements, shaping strong restaurants & bars image gaining the brand equity, customer-value maximization and developing new business processes and revenue streams.

Karthi is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 16 years of experience across India and has been part of IHG for 4 years. He has been associated with renowned hospitality brands like Oberoi Hotels in various cities and played a key role in the successful assignments including Identifying profit potential, creating value, & positioning the company’s products & services to maximize market share. He has also been anticipating & capitalizing on market trends widely. He has a great exposure to a variety of guests for successful maintenance of international standards for hotel operations.

During his IHG Hotels period, Karthi has launched many best practices. During his tenure, he has received many accolades and recognitions such as Department Leader 2020, Crowne Plaza Chennai. F&B Excellence Award 2018, IMEA IHG Hotels (Dakshin 30 Anniversary Campaign, On the Rocks Curated experiences and Most Innovative Festivity Hamper Sale campaign), Q 3 Manager Award 2018, Crowne Plaza Chennai.

In his personal life, Karthi comes from the loom city of India Erode in Tamil Nadu.
