Bengaluru, September 27, 2024: JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru proudly celebrates its 11th anniversary, marking over a decade of setting benchmarks in luxury hospitality. The hotel has implemented several eco-friendly initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. It meets 95-98% of its energy needs through wind power, energy-efficient appliances, optimized HVAC systems, and electrical hot water generators with heat pumps. Water conservation efforts include the addition of aerators, rainwater harvesting, and borewell recharging, with treated wastewater from the STP used for gardening and cooling towers. The hotel manages waste through an organic food waste converter and produces 2,500-3,000 glass bottles daily to replace single-use plastics. Community efforts include a hydroponic container for water-efficient produce and an EV charging station for guests.
