Bengaluru, July 12, 2023: JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru is pleased to announce the appointment of Baranidharan Thirunavukkarasu as the new Executive Pastry Chef. With over 16 years of professional culinary experience, he will be leading the patisserie department at JW Marriott Hotel Bangalore.
Chef Barani is a dynamic, passionate and team-spirited individual who excels in creating innovative and enticing desserts for various dining experiences, including restaurants, events, and fine dining affairs. His expertise extends to crafting artisan bread, desserts, pastries, chocolates, wedding cakes, themed desserts, and a wide array of confections. He is particularly skilled in utilizing advanced pastry techniques, upholding food safety standards, and applying the principles of pastry design.
Throughout his career, Chef Barani has received numerous awards and accolades. He was honored with the Precious Cayman Stingray Tourism Awards by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association. Additionally, he was recognized with the Star of the Sugar Award in the International Sugar Contest held in Italy. In 2019, he was awarded a Gold Medal for his dessert at the CHTA Taste of the Caribbean event in the Cayman Islands. Notably, he achieved several gold medals for Dessert and Showpieces for four consecutive years (2013-2017) from the Cayman Culinary Society.
