New Delhi, August 03, 2016: NGO Nehru Bal Sangh is primed to begin the ardor of patriotism in the city through the fourth edition of a magnificent two-week long, splendid extravaganza ‘Jashn-e Azadi’ from August 2 – 15, 2016. The idea is to revitalize the lifeblood of freedom and Independence among the youngsters and motivate people to celebrate the Independence Day with much more enthusiasm, pride, energy and fervor, and not consider the festival as a mere holiday or vacation. The main event of Jashn-e-Azadi will be held on 10th August at Indoor Weightlifting Hall, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex, New Delhi. The guest list of the fete includes Sheila Dixit,Subhash Ghai Ramesh Sippy, Kiran Juneja and many more known names of the country.
An add on to the celebration is, this year Jashn e Azadi for the first time is bringing 2 great countries of Asia on a single stage to celebrate the festival of Independence and showcase their rich and diverse cultures, as India & South Korea share their Independence Day on the same day. The two week long festivity will encompass various events at different locations in Delhi involving thousands of people and students to commemorate the 70th Independence Day.
“Independence Day is truly a national festival, which needs to be celebrated by each and every Indian rather than enjoying it as an off. The generation today is forgetting the crux of freedom. Therefore, the focus is for the youngsters to make them understand the true meaning of independence and engage in the celebrations, this in turn will also make others to follow it too.” Says Ashok Sahota, President, Nehru Bal Sangh. “We will also have flash mobs at various places in the city on patriotic themes. Our one of the most important event will be celebrated on the 10th of August at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
