~ A food festival that would present flavours from 4 countries and 5 territories from 13th September to 22nd September 2019 ~

National, September 19, 2019: India is a diverse country and it allows us to experience the different yet rich flavours of every destination. The Grand Trunk Road, one of South Asia’s oldest route provides some exotic and appetizing cuisines. Indoreans can now induldge in these cuisines as Indore Marriott Hotel is organizing The Grand Trunk Road food festival from 13th to 22nd September 2019 at Indore Kitchen, All Day Dining Restaurant and 54 Praangan, an open-air Indian Restaurant.

The Grand Trunk Road is Asia’s longest & oldest highway connects India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. It was rebuilt and renamed by the British government. It brings together special delicacies from 4 countries that will now be served at Indore Marriott Hotel throughout the food festival.

Speaking at the food festival launch, Somrup Chanda, Food and Beverage Director, Indore Marriott Hotel said, “We have introduced ‘The Grand Trunk Road’ food festival with an objective to provide our guests with different flavours and also showcase their cultures. We have more than 50 famous dishes from these 4 countries and 5 territories of India in our specially curated menu as part of the food festival. Indore Marriott Hotel has always strived to present different cuisines to the people so that everyone gets to enjoy the various dishes.”

The chefs of Indore Kitchen and 54 Praangan have curated a menu for this food festival and some of the dishes incldue the Lavand-e-Murgh, Kurma-e-Sabzi, Sher Barini, Ran-A-Musallam, Dal Dungar, Famous Lassi of Amritsar, Sarso Saag, Pindi Chole Kulchhe, Chowk Murgh Tikka, Awadh of North-West. K Galouti Kawab, Jafrani Paneer Tikka, Suran Ki Gali, Period Biryani, Delhi’s Langar Dal, Dhaba Wala Murg, Chhola Bhature, Kolkata’s Rasgulla, Chanar Paturi, Baigan Bhaja, etc.

The price of a vegetarian set menu is for INR 1299 and for the non- vegetarian set menu, it would be INR 1499.
