76 winners from across India, from Thekkady and Goa to Haridwar and Gangtok, received the IHE Excellence Awards announced at the glittering awards event at the India International Hospitality Expo (IHE)
Greater Noida, August 05, 2023:  The much-awaited India International Hospitality Expo 2023 (IHE 2023) celebrated the spirit of excellence within the hospitality industry through its prestigious IHE Excellence Awards. As many as 76 individuals and institutions were honoured with the IHE Excellence Awards on the penultimate day of the sixth India International Hospitality Expo (IHE) on Friday, August 4, 2023. The awardees, who came from Munnar and Thekkady in Kerala to Goa, Rajkot, Vadodara, Lucknow, Haridwar and Gangtok, and all the major metropolitan cities, received their trophies.
The glittering awards evening, held at the India Expo Centre and Mart (IEML) in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was also graced by Mr Rakesh Kumar, Chairman and Mr. Sudeep Sarcar, CEO of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), and Mr Hari Dadoo, President, IHE2023 and Managing Director of Dadoo Ceramics Group.
The grand event was aimed to recognize and applaud the remarkable contributions of Hoteliers, Restaurateurs, Caterers, and their associates in various categories, symbolizing the diverse facets of the thriving hospitality sector. The IHE Excellence Awards presented across multiple categories, reflecting the spectrum of the hospitality landscape. Notable members of the jury were headed by Mr Kul Bhushan Kachroo, Chairman Emeritus (South Asia), Radisson Hotel and the other jury members comprised Mr Gautam Anand, senior hotelier and Trustee, Cuisine India Foundation; Mr Rocky Mohan, Creator, Gourmet Passport, and Gourmand Award-winning author; Dr Suborno Bose, Chairman and Chief Mentor of IIHM and Indismart Group Worldwide; Mr Sanjay Khullar, Vice Chairman, The Seasons Group; Ms Neha Garg, Co-Founder of Red Kite Consulting; and Ms Taran Deep, Founder, Happy Hoteliers Club.
Congratulating the award-winners and describing the winners as the vanguards of the HoReCa sector,  Dr Rakesh Kumar said, “It has been an IHE tradition to recognize excellence in the hospitality and food industries since the inception of the show in 2018. We owe our existence to the two industries and enjoy a complementary relationship with them. We were therefore committed from the beginning to recognize and honour the best talents who are leading the two industries to higher peaks of excellence. I am proud to say that we were able to do so even during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.”
Adding to what Mr Kumar said, Mr Hari Dadoo stressed the fact that the awardees are shortlisted after a rigorous nomination and jury process to ensure that no one is favoured over the other for reasons other than excellence. “We want only the best to win so that they set new industry benchmarks and lead the way for sectoral and national growth. The IHE Excellence Awards represent the pinnacle of recognition for those who have raised the bar in the hospitality sector,” Mr Dadoo said.
The glamorous award ceremony was a spectacular affair with prominent dignitaries and industry leaders in attendance.
