New Delhi, September 03, 2018: The Addams Family – A New Musical Comedy with twisted plot and fabulous characters s here!The Musical is every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents!Filled with hilarious lyrics, uplifting and haunting melodies and quirky dance routines this musical is sure to be a hit – for the whole family!
The Director, Leila Alvares, from the age of 18 has been actively involved in musical, including conducting choirs. A live band, directed by Vivek Menzel, and vibrant costumes and hand painted sets, accompanies the shows.All dances are choreographed and directed by Alisha D’Souza and Prakrithi Sharma.
The play is an initiative by The CAUSE Foundation which is committed to promoting local talent with profits going to worthy local charities. They have successfully enthralled audiences for the past 20 years in Bangalore, Mangalore, Chennai, Coorg, Goa and Mumbai. The cast and crew volunteer their time and effort freely towards this end. Some of the past musicals include My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Fiddleron the Roof, GHOST the Musical, Young Frankenstein and most recently Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
