New Delhi, July 07, 2016: ASSOCIATION OF HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS (AHP) organized the third edition of AHP Hospitality Challenge 2016 for young hospitality professionals from prominent hotels across Delhi & NCR to display their hospitality skills. One of the challenges was culinary challenge which gave an opportunity to the potential/budding chefs to illustrate their knowledge and innovations in different types of cuisines. The culinary challenge was organized for three days at DELHI INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, New Delhi.
Over 90 young chefs from 20 eminent hotels came to this platform to participate in the culinary challenge and demonstrated their creativity. The first day of the culinary challenge saw Biryani competition, Ornamental Bread Display along with Sweet Sensation competition. In the Biryani competition, the young chefs prepared diverse types of Biryani like Hyderabadi Biryani, Kashmiri Biryani etc. and enthralled everyone by presenting it so imaginatively. On the other hand, the participants of Sensation Sweet put up a spectacular show by making wonderful cakes, puddings and pastries of assorted flavors. The participants of Bread-making made innumerous types of breads using varied ingredients and used pioneering ways to display them in front of the judges.
The second day of the culinary challenge had north Indian regional cuisine, wedding cake competition along with 45 minutes challenge. The third day saw International Cuisine and Dressing of the cake competition. Throughout the challenge, the young chefs not just prepared lip smacking delicacies but also paid close attention to the presentation of the dishes and had put immense efforts in the final execution of their hard work. The judges were stunned to see the passion and determination of the young chefs to bring out their best in the competitions.
The participants of Culinary Challenge were judged by the seasoned Jury member like Chef ArvindRai, Chef Vaneet Wadhera, Chef Suprabhat Roy, Chef Abhishek Basu, Chef Prem Ram, Chef Bharat Alagh, Chef Mahendra Kumar Khairiya, Chef S. V. Dua, Chef B. C. Kala, Chef Surinder Kumar.
This platform was designed to felicitate the young team at work who put in their best foot forward day in and out for pleasing the guests at their hotels. The award ceremony to announce the winners of the competition shall be held on July 8, 2016 at AIR FORCE AUDITORIUM, SUBROTO PARK, New Delhi.
