Bangalore, February 27, 2025: Clarks Exotica Convention Resort & Spa has taken a groundbreaking step in employee wellness by organizing a holistic detox retreat for its employees. The initiative, spearheaded by CEO Mr. Balaji M, underscores the brand’s commitment to the overall well-being and health of its workforce.

To further reinforce its commitment to employee wellness, Clarks Exotica has introduced an additional seven-day wellness leave for its Assistant Managers and leadership group, supplementing their statutory leave entitlements. Moreover, the company is sponsoring ₹25,000 per leader to encourage participation in the program, motivating them to prioritize their health and well-being while fostering a culture of holistic wellness within the organization.

The program was launched with the strong support of Ms. Nilisha Ghuliani, Vice President, and Mr. Varun Sharma, General Manager – Operations, as part of Clarks Exotica’s core value—Health of RICCH (Respect, Integrity, Commitment, Care, and Humility). Recognizing the fast-paced and often stressful nature of the hospitality industry, the leadership decided to introduce a structured detox program designed to rejuvenate employees physically, mentally, and emotionally.

“At Clarks Exotica, we believe that employee wellness is fundamental to delivering exceptional service. This retreat is a testament to our commitment to ensuring our employees’ holistic well-being,” said Nilisha Ghuliani, Vice President, Clarks Exotica Convention Resort and Spa. “A healthy, happy team naturally translates to a better guest experience, and this initiative is a step toward fostering that culture.”

The detox program offered a 360-degree approach to health, incorporating Ayurvedic food free of masalas and artificial additives, mindful eating practices, guided meditation, and light exercises. Employees participated in structured wellness activities designed to cleanse the body, promote mindfulness, and instill long-term healthy habits.

Sharing their experience, Satyabrata Samal, Associate Director housekeeping at Clarks Exotica Convention Resort and Spa who took part in the retreat stated, “The experience was completely different from anything I’ve ever done. I learned how to balance my food intake, the right times to eat, and the impact of simple exercises in maintaining overall well-being. The best part was meditation and learning self-control. I even lost 5.5 kg in just seven days.”

Additionally, three more leaders have participated in this wellness retreat, and others are also taking initiatives to join the program, further reinforcing the importance of health and well-being within the organization.

Encouraged by the positive results, Clarks Exotica is now advocating for more hospitality brands to implement similar wellness programs for their employees. By prioritizing health and well-being, the industry as a whole can create a more motivated, energetic, and productive workforce.
