The restaurant celebrates Its First Anniversary With A Power-Packed Weekend Featuring DJ Chetas And Sexy Beach Entertainment.
Mumbai, November 28, 2025: One year ago, Arpita Khan Sharma entered the city’s dining scene with Mercii, the luxury European fine-dining restaurant with a kind of quiet confidence that very few restaurants dare to attempt. Launched in partnership with Gaurav and Ketul Parikh, Anuj and Vicky Chugh of Richboyz Hospitality, the restaurant didn’t arrive with spectacle; it arrived with a soul. In just a year, the award-winning restaurant has evolved from a discreet new opening into one of Mumbai’s most sought-after dining rooms, a space where celebrities and food enthusiasts alike gather not just for a meal, but for a mood.
As Mercií steps into its anniversary weekend, the celebrations reflect the very rhythm its guests have built over the past year. On 27 November, DJ Chetas opens with a set infused with nostalgia and emotion. On 28 November, Sexy Beach Entertainment takes over, amplifying the room with a high-energy atmosphere. And on 29 November, Mercií hosts an intentionally unscripted finale allowing the crowd to shape the night, just as they have shaped the restaurant’s identity from the beginning.
“For us, Mercií was never just a place to eat. It has always been about how food makes you feel,” says Arpita Khan Sharma, Co‑Founder of Mercii, “This anniversary is not about completing a calendar year. It is about knowing that this space now holds emotion and belonging.”
Over the past year, Mercii has become a place guests return to with emotion and ease. Luxury here feels personal, and service feels intuitive. Much of this is shaped by Chef Beena Noronha, whose Nikkei x European approach has become the restaurant’s defining flavour language, blending Japanese precision with Peruvian vibrancy and European finesse. Her Scallop Tiradito in leche de tigre and ají amarillo opens the meal with silkiness and bite, while the brie and pear salad brings brightness through rocket and fennel. Rolls appear as colourful jewels, from salmon and avocado wrapped in pink quinoa to cucumber and jalapeño lifted by fiery mayo. Small plates like smoked duck croquettes, prawn dumplings and tiger prawns with brioche build the tempo, and pastas such as the rosette ravioli in edamame sauce and amaranth cannelloni with caramelised onion and citrus pomodoro showcase her artistry. Even the Cabbage au Flambé arrives as a spectacle, finished tableside in a pisco blaze. Dessert often becomes the final conversation, with “The Pear” remaining the one guests talk about long after.
Reflecting on the milestone, Gaurav Parikh, Co-Founder, adds, “The goal was to maintain consistency at Mercii. Good music, good service, and a good crowd every single time. That is harder than people think, and this anniversary is our way of celebrating everyone who helped make it possible. This place exists because people chose it. Looking ahead, we aspire to protect the energy and build a comforting space for everyone”.
Winning not just hearts but recognition across the industry, Mercií also cemented its place as a must-visit dining destination through notable awards and accolades. Its journey of refinement and resonance was honoured with the title of ‘Best Debutant Restaurant – Western Suburbs’ at the Easydiner Foodie Awards 2025. This distinction stands as a testament to the team’s vision of creating a space where food is not merely served, but genuinely felt.
As the restaurant steps into its second year, it does so with a sense of reflection and anticipation—honouring the year that shaped it, while embracing the milestones and momentum that lie ahead.
