The hotel holds the city’s first-ever live demonstration of traditional hand-made Lamian noodles
Bengaluru, March 15, 2018: Shangri-La Hotel Bengaluru invites guests to embark on a culinary sojourn to North West China’s legendary and capital city, Lanzhou, celebrated for its hand-pulled noodles the world over.
Shangri-La Hotel Bengaluru, brings the noodle master himself, Chef Jack Wang, from Shangri-La Hotel, Xian to work his theatrical magic for the first time in the city. Chef Wang will demonstrate the time-honoured art of fresh, hand-pulled noodles at the all-day-dining, multi-cuisine restaurant, b Café.
With his deft-fingered expertise, Chef Wang will pound, twist, knead and pull the dough until it becomes perfectly formed strands of noodles – delivered fresh and made-to-order. The 10-day-long Lamian Festival will showcase the quintessential, aromatic preparations that include a hearty bowl of fresh noodles in different broths, which are the soul of the dish’s flavour. The menu will feature Spicy Chicken Noodles, Sliced Noodles with Braised Beef and Biang Biang Noodles with Chilli and Oil, to name a few.
