Bangalore, March 15, 2016: The Second Edition of the International Training Workshop 2016 Edition organised by IFCA, JETRO & All Japan Sushi Association was focussed on pushing the boundaries of Sushi as we know it, moving it to new Contemporary realms. The advanced Sushi Skill Event was hosted at the picturesque Club Mahindra Resort, Virajpet Coorg on February 17, 2016, under the auspices of Major General Kariappa S K and Mr. Vijay Mohan, Regional Head – Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited.
The choice of location too was initiated by the planning committee of IFCA & JETRO based on the International mandates placed forth by All Japan Sushi Association on their needs to conduct a workshop of global standards. The kitchens of Club Mahindra, Virajpet with spotlessly clean, high quality hygiene levels matched the needs of the Japanese Masterchefs.
Organized by IFCA & the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the workshop saw training sessions and live demonstrations conducted >by global Sushi ambassador, Master Chef Masayoshi Kazato. The sessions were interactive and acquainted trainee chefs with the nuances of authentic Sushi making. The event was attended by 80 chefs from all over the country. Along with trainee chefs, the guests staying at Club Mahindra Virajpet also got a chance to attend the demonstrations and enjoy the amazing spread of Japanese cuisine created during the workshop.
