New Delhi, January 20, 2023: Nara Thai is commemorating Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year, with Save the Children this month. A month long celebration from the 20th of April to the 20th of May, 2022, Nara Thai will not only feature the #HalfGlassFull campaign at its outlets in Mumbai, but also align it with Save The Children’s Dream Accelerator Initiative. A true supporter of this cause is actress and philanthropist Dia Mirza. Her work on behalf of Save The Children has led to a long standing relationship with the NGO. In honor of that, she will be bringing the event to life at the restaurant with several of the NGOs children accompanying her.
The #HalfGlassFull campaign encourages water conservation by creating awareness among patrons. During our previous celebration, this campaign called attention to the sustentation of water. This year by partnering #HalfGlassFull with Save The Children’s Dream Accelerator Initiative, it highlights the lack of access and opportunities that India’s children face. Their half empty glasses inhibit their achievements, growth and potential. By joining forces, Nara Thai and Save The Children hope to inspire and fast track the dreams of the underprivileged and marginalized children through the Dream Accelerator Initiative. Save The Children has been trained in children’s rights, leadership and mobilizing children for action. The organization has already championed 1500 children who are on their way to realizing their purpose as changemakers in their communities. From engaging with these child champions to empowering them, Save The Children has traveled all over the world being the voice of children’s rights, receiving many accolades from notable platforms like the UNV, the UNGA, the Nari Shakti Awards, and more.
With #HalfGlassFull and Dream Accelerator aligning, the message these organizations are trying to send is that people have the power to transform lives. Save The Children recognises that children and young adults are a powerhouse to reckon with. Their energy and enthusiasm needs to be harnessed so they can contribute to the progress of our nation.
