Singapore, December 20, 2016: FBEYE International is proud to showcase the completion of its latest project: Hilton Singapore’s most recent MICE and wedding offerings – the Pre-Function Space and Ballroom situated on the third floor.
An iconic landmark along Orchard Road, the Hilton Singapore has a unique façade featuring Sculptural Reliefs, created by well-acclaimed Anglo-Chinese muralist and painter, Gerard D’Alton Henderson. Spanning 4,000 square feet wide, the façade sports Indo-Malay features such as Tumpal (isosceles triangle motifs), Wayang Topeng Masks from Indonesian theatrical performances, Singa and other mythical animal faces.
Inspired by the Sculptural Reliefs, the Hilton Singapore’s new spaces – the Pre- Function Room and Ballroom – melts elements such as its distinctive curves and segmented lines with a vibrant colour palette of cool hues against warm tones. These competing elements create the perfect backdrop for any event and further blends flawlessly with the hotel’s existing design exteriors.
Packed with surprises to give an unforgettable experience, the Pre-Function space offers guests a luxurious and multi-functional ambience from the moment they enter.
Boasting 280 square metres (3,000 square feet), the Pre-Function space can accommodate two different groups at the same time, Ballroom and meeting rooms, making it an ideal setting for networking and casual gatherings or more formal occasions, both able to be catered separately.
Simple, timeless design and a creative use of grey stone finish from the lobby wall to the floor to the high feature skirting in the ballroom elevate the space to the next level of class and style. To mimic a home-like ambience, feature contemporary armchairs and a brightly coloured carpet with the hotel’s signature wavy pattern are strategically placed to create a cosy atmosphere from exiting the lift. The blend of light and bright colours, juxtaposed against grey borders and high skirting, further amplifies the freshness of the Pre-Function space.
No space is complete without the perfect lighting. FBEYE International understands this importance and has given the Pre-Function area a face-lift with a newly-painted white ceiling that compliments the lighted glass rods, exuding a warm and natural glow. Together, they accentuate and highlight the room’s centrepiece: the beautiful chandelier.
The Pre-Function space is also equipped with customised cabinets that easily transforms into an open-concept coffee or beverage counters, a full bar and display/ merchandising opportunities, allowing for the ultimate versatility for event planning.
In addition, the layout of the floor allows for easy access from the Pre-Function space to either the meeting rooms or ballroom.
Set over 631.5 square metres (6,798 square feet) and with the capacity to accommodate up to 550 guests banquet style, the new Hilton Singapore Ballroom is a showstopper in itself; boasting rich and dark timber walls.
Four mesmerizing chandeliers set the tone for any grand occasion. Emanating sheer elegance, the uniquely crafted chandeliers made from hand-blown glass rods with crystals intertwined, lit up by hundreds of LED lights, creating an awe-inspiring ambience perfect for a range of events including weddings, gala dinners, exhibitions, meetings and conventions.
To maintain a harmonious flow between the Pre-Function space and the Ballroom, FBEYE International has incorporated the same colour scheme and carpeted floor, connecting both rooms seamlessly for a better event flow. Decorated with a much bolder pattern, the Ballroom is distinctively designed in rich tones and textures, complete with two-tone timbre panelling and grey stone high skirting. The addition of the mirror in black metal frame serves as the focus point, elevating the space’s already contemporary and timeless look.Whether for an intimate affair or a large-scale event, the ballroom can be easily configured to fit various occasions. Subtly coloured movable walls enable the space to be converted into three smaller rooms, whilst maintaining its signature design.
Guests will also benefit from advanced AV and IT capabilities, all of which are seamlessly blended into the ballroom’s elegant design.
Mr Warren Foster-Brown, Managing Director of FBEYE International, comments, “It was a privilege to work alongside the Hilton Singapore to develop these two unique spaces which hopefully will add an exciting dimension to both the industry’s MICE offerings and wedding venues. The Hilton Singapore is truly an iconic hotel along the Orchard Road stretch, memorable for its unique façade and we wanted to embellish and incorporate these unique traits into the new spaces, which I think we have successfully delivered upon.”
