Ingredients

  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 cup tofu, grated
  • 1 tsp light soya
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic mince
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 4 tablespoon refined flour
  • 1 cup Corn flour slurry
  • 2 cups Panko
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Peel potatoes and cut into 4 pieces each. Cook in boiling water until soft. In a big bowl, mash potatoes well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, and start cooking garlic and onion. Then add tofu and soya and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix potatoes and tofu mixture and add some more salt and pepper to taste. Let it cool.
  4. Divide potato mixture into 8 pieces and make oval patties. Refrigerate for an hour.
  5. Coat with flour, then slurry, and finally Panko.
  6. Heat deep frying oil to 350-375F, and deep fry the patties for 3-4 minutes till golden brown in colour.
  7. Serve with Cheesy peas and corn dip.
