Bengaluru, December 01, 2015: Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon and Artree has launched Art Walk – an exclusive platform for emerging artists to showcase their creativity via paintings and caricature. The day witnessed the launch of the Art Walk initiative in association with six participating artists and the unveiling of their creations. Hotel has provided a setting for six artists to explore the limits of the creative expression, presentation and interpretation of various art forms. Each artist chosen has a distinct and different style of work and expression from each other. The show curated by Pragati Agarwal’s , an art lover and a curator.

Mr. Sharat Dhall, President, Yatra.com was the guest of honor for the evening. With a keen interest in Indian art, he graced the evening to support and encourage the artists.

Art Walk is the first initiative in the field of art and sculpture by Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon where six artists Radhika Surana, Sparsh kumar, Uma Bardhan, Shradha Bhatia, Aman Sekhon and Rashmi Singh will be participating and showcasing their work.

Each artist will get one month to showcase their creativity at the hotel and a chance to interact with the guests.

The first month of exhibition will start with Radhika Surana,done Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Rajasthan.She believes that formal training and learning of techniques is extremely important and helpful as it provides pointers to help in the creation of work of art which is eventually given life through an artist’s feeling.

The second month will have creations by Sparsh kumar , Studied art at College of Art (Delh), Sparsh loves to play with moods and features of an individual, to delight and not to offend through his caricatures.

The third month will witness the creations by Uma Bardhan, expresses her work on multiple aspects related to Mother Nature. She is amongst very few artists who use a rare medium “Water Color on Silk” on her creativity.

The fourth month will witness creations by Shradha Bhatia from Gurgaon- a young artist graduated from Delhi University- her line of art will highlight the visions of Buddha and the paintings of birds .

The fifth month will witness creations by Rashmi Jamwal, A self- taught artist, with practice spanning over a decade in various mediums, hails from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Constant source of inspiration have been the myriad cultural hues, people , ancient mythsinto contemporary art form and places visited.

The sixth and the final month of the Art Walk will have creations by Aman Sekhon, Born in Nainital and went to Hansraj college delhi university. Is a self taught artist who loves painting landscapes and abstract forms and figures.
