New Delhi, March 08, 2018: The 33rd Edition of Food Hospitality World (FHW) exhibition was held from January 18th to 20th, 2018 at MMRDA Grounds BKC in Mumbai. The three-day exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Ralph Hays, Consul General and Trade Commissioner of New Zealand in India; Mr. Arun Kumar Singh Principal, IHM Mumbai; Mr. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Senior VP, HRAWI, Mr. Partha Chaterjee, President – SKAL Mumbai; Mr. Neerav Panchamia, President, Poona Hoteliers Association; Mr. Mohan Deshpande, Chairman and Founder, Hospitality Purchasing Managers Forum and Ms. Sonia Chawla, CEO, Global Fairs & Media Ltd.

FHW 2018 Mumbai had a show case of over 2000 product categories with participation of over 450 brands representing different segments of the food and hospitality industry like F&B, interiors, kitchen equipment, housekeeping, bakery and many others. Some of the participating companies at the show were GIGI IL SALUMIFICIO SRL, GCMMF Ltd (AMUL), Unilever Food Solutions, General Mills India Pvt Ltd, FNS International, Bluecold Refrigeration Pvt. Over the three-day exhibition, FHW in association with the Western India Culinary Association (WICA) hosted the 13th Annual live competition – Great Indian Culinary Challenge (Artistic Display & Cold Display), Live Cooking by Professionals and students. With participation of over 150 participants across the seven categories, this competition creates a perfect platform for culinary fraternity to showcase their skills and finesse.

In addition, FHW 2018 Mumbai also organised several interesting and engaging panel discussions like the Hospitality Think Tank: The GMs Conclave. The theme of the conference was ‘Talent Management Strategies’. FHW in association with Dial-A-Baker hosted the Live Workshop by Chef Santosh Kotla who conducted a workshop on Trends in Chocolate and Chef Ruhee Bhimani who conducted a workshop on Varrines. FHW also hosted the Business Excellence Honours which honoured distinguished path breakers of the Indian F&B and Hospitality Industry. The chief guest for the event was Shri Jayakumar Jitendrasinh Rawal, Minister for Tourism & Employment Guarantee Scheme, Government of Maharashtra & Guardian minister of Nandurbar.

Day 2 began with The Power of Purchase panel – organized in association with Hospitality Purchasing Managers Forum (HPMF) which witnessed key procurement decision makers discussing on ‘How to Manage Stress and Create Work Life Balance’. FHW in association with i-Professional Housekeepers Association (i-PHA) organized the Professional Housekeepers Challenge which saw participation from top 4 star and 5 star hotel’s housekeeping team.

Day 3 began with the Co-located Event Chef Connect. It is a platform created to encourage culinary creativity and to professionally & socially engage chefs in a 1 day theme based educative & networking program. The Theme of the conference was Change – the only Constant. The chief guest for the event was Hemant Oberoi, Chef & Owner, Hemant Oberoi Restaurant.
