New Delhi, March 22, 2018: The 20th annual food festival of the Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (MSIHMCT), Pune was celebrated on 16th March 2018.The theme this year was  named as “Sur Trails”. The theme was built around cuisines and foods that are home to varied music genres such Sufi, Reggae, Jazz and Indian Classical Music.

The mouthwatering delicacies included Ghee Roast Chicken and Nadir Monjvur complementing the melodies of Kashmir, Bakhtyari kebab, chilli polenta chaat, sweet ravioli with rabri, breads like schiacciata luva , dhalpurie  elevating the experience of soulful sufi and Thandai Mousse to the grooves of Rock ‘n’ Roll. With an enthralling tabla and guitar performance and an energetic dance, this experience proved to be one of a kind

According to the principal Dr. Anita Moodliar, the credit for the event goes to the synchronized amalgamation of the final year students’ efforts in various departments like Food Production, F&B Service, Housekeeping and Decoration, Sales and Marketing, Finance and   Entertainment.

More than 500 guests enjoyed the meal experience in a lively ambience created by the students. The event was adorned by the presence of multiple senior managers from various luxury hotels, celebrity Chefs, academicians and Govt. Dignitaries from Pune.

The lively ambience created at the entrance made the evening “Sur, Trails” for one and all. The evening was lit up by a classical vocal performance by the mini maestros of MSIHMCT and a live band performance. The culminated effort of each and every student and staff member of the MSIHMCT certainly paid off.
