Lucknow, October 19, 2016: There are few who understand tradition and culture better than Renaissance Lucknow Hotel. In keeping with its patrons’ need to connect to their roots and keep alive the Indian culture of family get-togethers, the hotel introduced a Sunday Brunch, ‘Rivaj’ where the family can bond over a meal. Rivaj, as the name suggests, recreated and showcased the traditional bonhomie that is essence to family get-togethers in India.

The Special Sunday Brunch started on 16th October and will be an on-going activity. The inaugural event on the 16th kicked off with a fun-filled cake mixing ceremony. Cake mixing is a traditional ceremony in preparation for Christmas where people soak fruits in rum in September / October and put it aside till Christmas, when they take it out to make the most divine Christmas cake that the family enjoys together. The event also had a live bar-be-que counter and a live dessert counter. It was an opportunity for guests to see the food being prepared. Guests even asked the chef for the recipes of their favorite dish on the menu and took tips on making a particular dish. It is a rare opportunity that should not be missed!

“Being a leading hospitality firm in Lucknow, it was an immense pleasure to organize such an event that is full of amazing mouth-watering dishes and so many other joyful activities for all our patrons. We loved the journey of en-routing our traditions and we feel delighted that everyone cherished the Sunday brunch and cake-mixing at Renaissance.” says Mr. An and Ganesan, Multi-Property General Manager, Renaissance Lucknow Hotel.

“Our aim is to bring beautifully cooked and designed platters for all our guest. Our team has curated all the dishes in a traditional way to please the taste buds of all. The specially designed live counters for bar-be-que and desserts are going to be another attraction. It’s a treat for all the senses” adds Mr. Ganesan.
