Hyderabad, January 08, 2016 : The Bombay Irani cafe and bar, SodaBottleOpenerWala, organised a very special and popular master class on Nan Khatai by the renowned Bakery and R&D Chef Akshata Karkaria at Jubilee Hills Hyderabad. Akshata Karkaria is a self-taught hobby chef who has acquired the Parsi cooking secrets from her mother-in-law Bachi Karkaria as well as her lovely neighbours. Akshata has created some of her own baking and comfort foods which are derived from her learning and passion for food.

Nankhatai Master Class was fun with the chef Akshata sharing her personal culinary secrets and offering a modern and stylish approach to making Nankhatai. She interacted with the participants and gave useful cooking tips while demonstrating few of her most popular recipes. The event received fantastic response from the ladies who were seen having a great time interacting with Chef and trying out the delicious Nankhatai with Irani chai and gossip.

Akshatra is an amazing person and baking and comfort foods are her passions. Her new role as Bakery & R&D Chef at SodaBottleOpenerWala, Mumbai is tailor made and she has been doing wonders in the kitchen churning out delicious Parsi cuisine. She also holds Grand Diplome from Le Cordon Bleu.
