RezNext Adds New Functionality on ReX Platform
Enables hotels to create holiday packages based on real-time room availability 

Chennai January 13, 2014: RezNext, the world’s only true real-time distribution solution provider has added a significant enhancement to it channel manager solution ReX. Hoteliers can now create packages like honeymoon holidays, adventure holidays, beach holidays, pilgrimage holidays and much more based on rooms types and real-time availability in ReX, and can share this with all their distribution channels.

Consumers booking these packages can avoid having to call the OTA or the hotel and can instead book online directly. “Today the industry is person dependent as there is no real-time availability or booking of packages possible on the hotel website or on an OTA. The new functionality from ReX bridges this gap. Because this is real-time, there is no additional effort needed from the consumer or the hotelier to confirm a booking against a package.  The confirmation is received in the PMS which sends out the booking voucher to the guest. It is seamless, quick and saves time and effort for the consumer, the OTA and the hotel”, said Mike Kistner, Chief Executive Officer, RezNext.

This new functionality will allow hoteliers to market their hotels better and offer the consumer more choice. Hoteliers can also choose to set the package running for a longer duration instead of restricting it to couple of days only. Once the room types for which the package is created are sold out, further bookings will not be allowed. Hotels can then choose to run the same package if need be on a different room type based on availability.
The new functionality also allows hoteliers to create manage and publish an itinerary against the packages and make it available on their website and on those channels they distribute these packages too.

 “The next release will look at enabling hoteliers to add multiple room types in a package. Hotels will also be able to include additional services such as spa, guided tours or safari to these packages and offer the consumer a holistic experience while bringing in additional revenue for the hotel”, added Mike.
By being able to create packages in real-time, hoteliers can now be in better control of their sales and the marketing team can rely on real-time actionable data to draw intelligence, analyze and promote these packages accordingly.BWI
